Party Wall Surveying
Kent Construction Consultants work in partnership with Graham Kinnear Property Consultants, an independent consultancy that specialises in party wall administration to offer a combined professional service as Kent’s leading Multidisciplinary practice. As chartered surveyors who undertake quantity surveying, building surveying and project management, we are extremely pleased to announce the collaboration between both practices to provide our clients with the accessibility to our party wall professional services solely or combining with our in-house services.
The Party wall act, the Party Wall etc. Act 1996 act to give its full name is a piece of legislation that was mainly transferred from Part VI of London Building Acts (amendment) Act 1939, it applies in England and Wales.
The main purpose of the act is to provide a framework for amicably preventing and resolving disputes between neighbours in relation to Party Walls, boundary Walls and Excavations near neighbouring buildings. Building owners are given statutory rights that did not exist in existing common law, when undertaking certain types of construction as defined by the Act. As well as these rights it obliges Building owners to give appropriate notice and for the relevant notice period if they intend on carrying out the defined work.
Kent Construction Consultants are here to support and administer your party wall requirements and provide our professional external recommendations. We commonly assist with existing walling or structures shared with another property (Section 2 of the Act), Evacuating near to a neighbouring Building (Section 6 of the Act) and/or building a free-standing wall or a wall of a building up to or astride the boundary with the neighbouring property (Section 1 of the Act).
We are regulated by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and pleased to support your individual enquiries in collaboration our local and experienced Party Wall Surveyor Graham Kinnear or as a combined appointment via Kent Construction Consultants.
